Because micromanaging alignment and making tiny adjustments in your form will not lead to big changes. 
Strength training will.

 

I want you to get out of the trap of thinking the perfect alignment will keep you "safe". Building strength and stability is a way better (and more science-backed) bet. 

Because plateauing in your practice does not mean you're not good enough, not cut out to do this, or because you're not working hard or often enough.

 

It's because practicing the same stuff in the same way will only get you so far. Yoga alone is limited - but targeted strengthening will change that and help you enhance your practice. 

Because having more pain, feeling more injury-prone, or feeling imbalances in your muscles is not because you're doing something wrong.

 

It's because yoga is a repetitive practice and has major movement blindspots. Tailored strengthening to complement your practice will make you feel better on your mat and beyond.
